Privacy Policy

The short version

Calculatorist runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter into any calculator never leave your device. We do not store, log, send, or share your inputs.

Data we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from — page views, country, referring site, device type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses at all — it uses them only to derive a rough country, then discards them. Google Analytics sets a first-party cookie holding a randomly generated ID so it can tell a returning visit from a new one; that ID is not linked to your name, email, or anything else about you, and we never try to identify individual visitors. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can opt out entirely with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

That is the only third-party script on the site. We run no advertising trackers, no social pixels, no session recorders, and no fingerprinting.

Your choice about analytics

If you are visiting from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics is switched off before you do anything. Nothing is stored and no analytics cookie is set unless you press Accept on the banner we show you. Decline, and the tag stays off for good. Everywhere else, analytics runs by default, and the opt-out add-on linked above turns it off.

Your answer is remembered in your browser's local storage under calculatorist-consent. It holds one word — granted or denied — is never sent to us or to anyone else, and exists only so we do not ask you the same question on every page. Clearing your browser storage forgets it, and we will ask again.

Advertising

Calculatorist does not currently show any ads. There is no ad network on the site, and nothing on these pages sets an advertising cookie or builds a profile of you.

We may add advertising later. If we do, this page will be updated before the first ad goes live, naming the network and explaining what it collects. Should that network be Google AdSense, its cookies can be reviewed or turned off at Google Ads Settings.

Your rights

We hold no account, no email list, and no record that could be traced back to you, so there is no personal file here for us to hand over or erase. The one piece of data that exists is the anonymous analytics ID described above — clearing your browser cookies removes it, and the opt-out add-on stops it being created at all.
